Attitude To Learning
We talk a great deal about learning at NTS and in order to encourage students to become better learners we use Attitude to Learning (AtL) grades. We believe that if students approach their learning in the right way there will be direct benefits to their achievement, in terms of both attainment and progress.
The AtL grades apply to all students and will be reported to them and their parents at regular intervals. This will follow the school reporting schedule.
We will record the average grade achieved and monitor movements of this average from one reporting session to another. Where we have concerns intervention will take place.
There are criteria for AtL grades applicable for Years 7-11, and a separate set for Years 12-13. All students have a copy of the criteria for gaining these grades in their school planner.
