House Activities

In September 2016 a new house system was introduced to NTS. All pupils and staff are a member of one of the four houses; Kestrel, Merlin, Osprey and Peregrine. House Points are awarded for charity efforts, NTSness, courteousness, effort and for other worthy successes. During the last full academic year, 16000 House Points were awarded to pupils for their efforts.

A range of House activities and competitions take place during the year (some are off timetable which includes the whole school, whilst other activities are volunteered for by pupils and organised by the Sixth Form House Captains). The aim is to encourage participation from all members of the school community with points rewarding pupils’ efforts. Pupils receive a sticker for each House Point with a unique code. The House Point is redeemed using the school computer network and totals are recorded on pupils annual reports. Alternatively, House Points can be also redeemed using a QR scanning code.
