Mr Hamilton speaking about our ‘Pen Friend’ link – “the pen friend scheme that the school facilitates affords pupils the opportunity to use their French skills and knowledge in real life scenario and connect with their peers in France. For me, this makes the learning something concrete and not just an abstract concept, which many pupils can feel. My own son has really enjoyed sending and receiving pen friend letters and it has certainly been of benefit both linguistically and culturally”
