TEACHER OF PE

Permanent; Full-time; MPR

Required from September 2023, a well-qualified, enthusiastic and energetic PE teacher. This post would suit newly-qualified or more experienced practitioners alike.

The successful candidate will have expertise and enthusiasm in all activities but hockey and tennis specialisms would be particularly desirable, as well as the ability to deliver AQA GCSE PE.

The Nelson Thomlinson School is an outstanding school, located on the fringes of the Lake District National Park. The PE department has a long and successful history of sporting excellence in a wide range of school sports. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full and active role in the continuation of this success as well as delivering the highest standards and outcomes in PE at KS3, GCSE and A level. A commitment to extra-curricular clubs and activities is essential.

CASUAL, PART-TIME TEACHER OF UPPER STRING INSTRUMENTS 

(5 hours per week, term time only)

Rate of pay £30 – £35ph, depending on experience
Required for September 2023, a well-qualified teacher of Upper String Instruments

The Nelson Thomlinson School is an Outstanding school.  It prides itself on the quality of education it provides for pupils of all ages and abilities. We are looking for a dedicated, committed and experienced teacher of upper string instruments to join the Music department to teach violin and viola.

Suitable candidates will:

  • Be able to deliver both individual and group lessons
  • Be able to illustrate a capacity to help students achieve their best.
  • Be able to work well as part of a team, with a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Guide pupils through graded exams.
  • Organise their own timetables
  • Write one yearly report.

MIDDAY SUPERVISORS

PCD3 £9.62 – £9.81 per hour

6.25 hours per week (12.20 – 1.35pm daily) term time only

Midday Supervisors required to work with our team ensuring our pupils are safe over the lunchtime break.  Supervisors rotate through the areas of school and some outside duties are included.
