EXAMS OFFICER & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

BS7: £22,183 – 23,080 per annum pro rata
Full time, 37 hours a week, term time + 10 days, which must include summer holiday examination preparation and results days (4 days).

 

We wish to appoint, as soon as possible, an enthusiastic, well-organised and highly-motivated individual to our busy office team to take up the full post of Exams Officer & Administrative Assistant upon the retirement of our existing Exams Officer after this summer. Delegation of duties between the two aspects to this post are flexible, based upon the demands at key points in the academic year, but the initial premise is 3 days exams/2 days admin.

The successful candidate will be a team player, have a pleasant and efficient manner, and good inter-personal skills.  A critical eye for detail, high levels of literacy, the ability to work independently using your own initiative, and the ability to assimilate information accurately and quickly are essential. You should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, whilst having experience of SIMS, Exams Manager and Assessment Manager would be an advantage, but training will be available.

Key duties will be to lead and manage the school’s examination procedures ensuring compliance with all JCQ, Ofqual and awarding body requirements, support the organisation of the school’s options processes for Year 9 and Year 11/Sixth Form, and conduct administrative duties to be defined in conjunction with the existing Admin team.
